‘Speed’: A compact minivelo

Got this in the mail last night...

Hi there: I've just about finished a new bike with 20-inch wheels, so I took it for a test ride and photo shoot this afternoon. I thought you might be interested in the pics.

The bike uses 451 mm instead of 406 wheels - I built this bike to see how the larger size compares in handling and comfort to the smaller wheels. Too soon to tell - I only rode around the block!

Tony built a lovely ‘MiniVelo’ bike late last year which he submitted to the Fixed Gear Gallery; I mailed him to compliment him and we got into a little discussion about mini-bikes. That bike, and now this one bike have inspired me to push-on with my own embryonic designs for a custom built minibike. It's another sweet bike and cool to be kept up to date on his builds...

Hey all greta bike we have been building and designing Minivelo bikes since 2005 we now import them from Taiwan and do custom builds and some service.
