London to Brighton 2006

Lovely update on the black-and-white classic.
Shame the trains look so boring these days but who can resist a nice bit of timelapse.
I should do a bike one of my ride to Chelsea. That might be fun...

The same film but in lovely widescreen Hi-Res

On this ‘Significant’ date....

Mind The Gap
Since it's officially five years since some idiots blew up some buildings over the pond (maybe not who you think) here's a documentary detailing the gaps in the official story of the 7/7 London Bombings.

The film, presented by ex-MI5 whistleblower David Shayler, argues the need for an Independant Public Inquiry into 7/7 and the surrounding events. Because we are being manipulated and this stuff - strangely - is never on the 'news'.

Other essential viewing; One should really know this stuff if you live in the west:
Adam Curtis’ excellent “Power of Nightmares” documentary
Alex Jones’ “Terrorstorm” documentary

I know - too many videos recently. And ranting as well.
I'll try to be more moderate in future.

Jus' a wee QTVR from the N. America Trip

Taken inside the 'Park' Observation car last June

It was moving and I didn't have a tripod but I think it came out pretty well - mostly because it was at Pensioner Lunchtime. Kinda like being in a really big fighter plane heh...

Ferrofluid Sculptures by Sachiko Kodama

Ferrofluid is a material originally developed by NASA.
It has found itself being used for a whole range of devices, including dampers for stabilising large buildings that move around in the wind. What's cool is that they have such lovely spikey visual qualities when magnetized. Real-world audio levels display anyone?

For Radio Geeks Only...

Image of...Or “Making iTunes create playlists that programme music like a commercial Radio Station”

This Article/Tutorial by Andrew 'Buscast' Dubber over at his blog ‘The Wireless’ is an interesting idea. It’s a way of creating smart playlists for different kinds of music (new, faves, up-and-coming, gold etc), that blend together to give a smarter and fresher way to listen to your music without annoying repeats or songs lost never to be played again.

How I’d set it up with my dearth of music might be a bit difficult—but I might have a go at ‘LittlePixel’s Downbeat Hip Hop Station FM’ and see how it pans out. I’m always saying to myself ‘I must go give X a listen...’ then never get round to it. If I can set up a smart playlist that plays stuff that hasn’t been played recently I might discover a million new songs I have ready to go but have never got round to listening to... It might even improve the track selection for Bontempi Radio Köln.
