Where’s my Flying Car?

In the early 80s this is exactly the sort of car we thought we'd be driving now. Shame they aren't with us running off water or Dr Emmett Brown's DeLorean fission reactor. Sadly the kind of car people seem to actually aspire to now has 22" wheels, looks like a whale, and is designed specifically to beat the opposition in a crash.

So people upgrade to compete. Where oh where does it end??? Oh yeah... When the oil runs out.
Sooner the better if you ask me.
